What is a Vietnam e-visa?

A Vietnam e-visa is a digitally issued visa linked to your passport information. Once approved, it allows you to enter Vietnam through designated international entry points.
The e-visa system is designed to simplify the visa application process, but applications are still reviewed manually by immigration officers to ensure accuracy and compliance with entry regulations.

How the Vietnam e-visa application process works

Prepare the essential documents
Before start your e-visa application via the official government website, you will need to prepare the following documents and information:

• A copy of your passport bio page (the passport validity must be at least 6 months from the date of arrival)
• A passport-sized photo taken at present
• Visa information: the visa validity (30 or 90 days), visa type (single or multiple entry)
• Contact information: provide the permanent residential address, telephone number and emergency contact
• Information about the trip: the purpose of entry, the intended date of arrival and length of stay, the residential address in Vietnam and the entry and exit ports
• Email address: Your active email to receive the visa information, payment receipt and e-visa result
• Valid credit card: A credit card enabled for online payments to pay the visa application fee

Complete the visa application form
Get started by filling the official visa portal (to receive the visa within 3-5 working days), or our visa application form (to receive the visa within 2 working hours to 1 day) with required information and pay the visa fee.

Pay the visa fee and receive e-visa
Make payment for the visa fee using your credit card or PayPal. Once your payment is confirmed, we will process the application immediately and you will receive the e-visa via email within the chosen processing time. Copies of the same document will be forwarded on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration checkpoints at the airports, land ports or seaports.

You print out the e-visa file (colour preferred, but not required) and bring along with your original passport to board the plane, cruise ship or other mean of transports... to enter Vietnam via the e-visa accepted entry ports.

Get entry into Vietnam
Once landing at the destination airport, go straight to the passport control and present your e-visa file (printed out beforehand) along with your passport to immigration officers. The actual process takes around 30 minutes without any hassle.
