Since 15 August 2023, Vietnam’s e-visa policy has been expanded to cover all nationalities, offering a validity of up to 90 days with either single entry or multiple entry options, depending on the applicant’s selection.

What is a Vietnam e-visa?

Vietnam e-visa is an immigration document issued electronically for travelers who meet Vietnam’s eligibility requirements. Once approved, you download the e-visa PDF and present it when you enter Vietnam.

Foreigners staying outside Vietnam who hold a valid passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity and are not subject to entry restrictions under Vietnam’s immigration regulations are eligible to apply for a Vietnam e-visa.

The commonly published government processing fees are:

Entry and exit requirements

Please make sure you will follow these entry and exit requirements when using a Vietnam e-visa:

1. Use an approved e-visa border gate

Vietnam e-visa holders must enter and exit through designated international border gates (airports, land border crossings, and seaports that the government approves for e-visas).
Vietnam has expanded e-visa checkpoints over time, so confirm your intended arrival airport, land crossing or seaport is on the current approved list before you book transportation.

2. Enter within your validity dates

When you recevie you e-visa, please check the visa validity carefully to make sure it will cover your whole trip. In the issued e-visa, you will find these notes "valid from date" and "valid until date" You must enter Vietnam within that window and depart accordingly.

3. Match your passport exactly
